A tropical Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner and Thailand wants to celebrate it properly. Modesty is out of the question and shopping malls are certainly not frugal when it comes to decorations!

Bangkok’s Emporium Emquartier presents its WINTER WONDERLAND 2021. Celebrate the most magical festive time of the year until 2nd January 2022. Don’t miss the Christmas parade together with a mini concert with plenty of artists and fun activities for the whole family.

The river walks never looked brighter and more elaborate since the opening of Icon Siam which is famed this month for its wonderful Bangkok illuminations. Icon Siam will host Christmas themed workshops for kids, have live performances and inside there are plenty of opportunities to see Santa Claus.

A wonderful trip during December is taking a boat along the river from Asiatique past Icon Siam and all the swanky hotels that border the riverside, each trying to outshine each other with their impressive festive displays. It’s also worth checking out the beautiful Christmas trees and decorations in some of the hotels. The Mandarin Oriental and Shangri La in particular have amazing displays and have been known to have full size gingerbread houses. A life size chocolate tuk-tuk was spotted one year!
