Ticao Island, nestled in Masbate Province, Bicol Region, offers an enchanting haven for divers. While lesser-known, it promises close encounters with majestic Manta Rays. Journeying to Ticao Island rewards adventurers with unparalleled marine spectacles, particularly between March and October, with chances to spot Whale Sharks even in November to February.

Leyte’s Sogod Bay reveals a paradise for scuba aficionados, boasting over 20 dive sites and diverse marine life, including the mesmerizing Whale Sharks. Optimal diving conditions typically grace the bay from March to July.

Apo Reef Natural Park in Mindoro stands out as the largest atoll-like reef in the Philippines. Teeming with over 200 marine species, including mantas, sharks and jacks, this underwater wonderland also serves as a sanctuary for migratory birds. Accessible from Manila via San Jose, Mindoro, or through Coron, Palawan, Apo Reef offers a breathtaking glimpse into the vibrant marine ecosystem of the Philippines.

Tubbataha Reefs, nestled in Palawan, is a UNESCO World Heritage Marine Park renowned for its unparalleled biodiversity. As the largest marine protected area in the country, Tubbataha boasts over 360 species of coral and nearly 700 species of fish. Diving in Tubbataha is an exclusive experience, accessible only via liveaboard trips from March to June, when the sea is calm and the skies are clear.

Anilao in Batangas, renowned as the Philippines’ diving birthplace, captivates with its vibrant underwater vistas. With 75 dive sites, including macro photography hotspots, Anilao teems with diverse marine life, from colorful critters to majestic Reef Sharks. Diving opportunities abound year-round, with optimal conditions prevailing from October to May.
