Fountain of Wealth
Try your Luck in Singapore!
Singapore is famous for its modern architecture. The Fountain of Wealth, located at Suntec City, is made of bronze and consists of a circular ring, 13.8-metres-tall, with a circumference of 66 metres, and occupying an area of 1,683 square metres. It was recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Largest Fountain in 1988.
The design is based on the Hindu mandala, a symbolic representation of the oneness in spirit and unity, representing the quality and harmony of all races and religions in Singapore.
During certain periods of the day, the fountain is turned off to allow visitors to walk around a mini fountain at the centre of the fountain’s base. It is believed that by stretching out your right hand over the water and encircling the fountain clockwise three times, you will get charm and good luck. Even if you are not superstitious it is worth visiting this amazing fountain. As dusk falls, visitors are treated to music and amazing laser performances.
