SRI LANKA
Weathering the Storm
We are pleased to say that Sri Lanka did not encounter any major service failures last year. However, we did face a significant challenge when Cyclone Ditwah swept across the island during the last week of November 2025.
Cyclone Ditwah made landfall on Sri Lanka on 28th November 2025, bringing extremely heavy rainfall, widespread flooding and several landslides. Multiple regions across the island were affected, including areas already burdened by structural vulnerabilities. This resulted in disruptions to road access, power supply and local infrastructure, creating considerable challenges for both residents and travellers.
During this time, we had several clients touring the country, and their safety became our immediate priority. Our team acted swiftly & closely monitoring weather updates, coordinating with local authorities and rerouting guests to secure locations well ahead of the cyclone’s impact.
Thanks to quick decision-making and seamless coordination, our clients remained safe and comfortable throughout the disruption. Despite the unexpected weather event, guests continued to enjoy their holiday with minimal impact, with many expressing appreciation for how effectively the situation was handled.
The team in Colombo once again demonstrated resilience, teamwork and unwavering commitment to guest safety, turning a challenging situation into a memorable travel experience.
