THAILAND

Koh Yai Noi Island Paradise

The island of Ko Yao Yai Noi is located halfway between Phuket and Krabi, in the Andaman Sea. It is one of Thailand`s most sustainable islands with beautiful sandy beaches. The surrounding seas are filled with dive opportunities and abound in coral.

Koh Yao Noi is especially suitable for honeymooners, couples and single travellers. Apart from swimming and relaxing at the beach, other activities included taking a songthaew to visit rice fields, rubber plantations and the local community. The Koh Yao Noi islanders are mainly rice farmers or fishermen.

From Koh Yao Noi, you can conveniently travel to other surrounding islands. Most guests, after having thoroughly explored the island, will continue to Koh Lao Bi Le or Koh Hong, which is the location of a ranger unit of Than Bokkoranee National Park.

Ko Yao Noi is home to over 162 species of birds and over 200 black hornbills; both local and migrating birds settle in this beautiful island. Hike uphill to enjoy a 360-degree view of the island’s forests. The beauty is even more impressive during sunrise.

How to get to Koh Yao Noi

Getting to Koh Yao Noi is very easy. There is a speedboat ferry that leaves from Bang Rong Pier in Phuket and heads over to Tha Manok Peir on Koh Yao Noi. From there you can hire a local songthaew to get to your hotel or arrange a pick-up in advance with your hotel.

From Krabi, head to the Nopparat Thara Ferry Pier or the Ta Len Pier where you can catch either a public speed boat ferry or a longtail boat to Bangrong Pier.

The speed boats operate about every hour and cost 300 Thai Baht per person.
