Care for Coffee?

Did you know – Vietnam is the second largest producer in the world after Brazil?

Ho Chi Minh City and its inhabitants are still under a strictly enforced lockdown. Since Vietnam’s largest city and its ports are the most important exporting hub of the country, the measurements in place are now raising concerns about the global supply of coffee. The recent lockdown has been causing serious challenges for the Vietnamese export business to ship coffee beans and other goods to ports around the globe.

Vietnam is especially known for exporting robusta beans whose wholesale price has already increased by approximately 50% this year.

Affiliated businesses and associations have approached the government and asked to ease the restrictions in order to avoid any future delays in shipment.

The Minister of Transport already replied that he has asked the local authorities in the South to reconsider any unnecessary burdens on the transport of goods, including coffee.
