We are pleased to announce that Manjanggul Cave has officially reopened after a long period of reconstruction, once again welcoming visitors into one of Jeju’s most extraordinary natural wonders. Formed by ancient volcanic activity, this UNESCO-listed lava tube reveals a hidden underground world of dramatic rock formations, vast tunnels and fascinating geological history.
To celebrate the reopening, we are delighted to recommend inspiring Jeju itineraries that combine Manjanggul Cave with the island’s most iconic landscapes and cultural highlights.
For a 2-day journey, start with Manjanggul Cave and the refreshing coastal beauty of Hamdeok Beach. On day two, explore Bijarim Forest, Jeju Stone Park (Jeju Dol Culture Park), Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, Gwanchigi Beach and the scenic coastline of Seopjikoji.
For a more immersive 3-day experience, follow the same first two days and continue with a third day discovering Jeju’s southern treasures: Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls, Jusangjeolli Cliffs, O’sulloc Tea Museum, Camellia Hills and the vibrant Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market.
