Enter an art collector’s actual home and living environment, where Thai art, heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary creativity are woven naturally into everyday life. Located in a residential neighbourhood of Bangkok, Kunawong House Museum grew from the passion of Thai art collector Sermkhun Kunawong and his decades-long journey of collecting. Today, more than 1,000 artworks and objects are displayed across the property, from traditional Thai and Buddhist art to antiques, sculptures, contemporary works, handicrafts, and Thai and European furniture. 

The experience unfolds across The Residence, Cubic Building and Garden of Life, each revealing a different side of the collection and the collector’s personal story. In The Residence, guests walk through rooms that remain part of the family’s living environment, with artworks thoughtfully integrated into spaces such as the Thai Heritage Tea Room, Dawn Dining Room, Meditation Room and Abstract Art Penthouse. Along the way, they discover how Thai artistic traditions have evolved through different periods and influences, while learning about the artists, craftsmanship and stories behind selected pieces.

For a deeper experience, the Kunawong Residence Tour takes guests through the Residence, Cubic Building, Buddhist Sanctuary and Garden of Life with a guide, followed by tea in the Dawn Dining Room.

Open on Sundays, Kunawong House Museum fits naturally into a Bangkok itinerary for travellers interested in art, design, craftsmanship and local stories.
