Citywide Celebration: Panda Twins’ First Birthday

From August 1–31, join Ocean Park and the Hong Kong Tourism Board for a month-long extravaganza honoring Jia Jia and De De’s first birthday. Wander photogenic panda displays across Tsim Sha Tsui and Central Harbourfront, then pre-register online for the LABUBU x Panda Twins Lucky Draw. Roughly 300 fans will win limited-edition vinyl LABUBU toys and bespoke birthday cards – with bonus gift boxes dropping August 15–17.

Hong Kong Cat Expo (HKCEC, early August)

Hundreds of adoptable kitties meet Ancient Egypt–inspired cat art, expert talks on feline health and indulgent cat-themed markets.

Character Takeover: Chiikawa Days

Until August 31, Chiikawa and friends invade the city. Spot them on Light Rail trains serving Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tai Wai, wander a giant-inflatable playground at the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and explore an immersive Chiikawa exhibition at K11 Musea. A secret Chiikawa ramen pop-up – slurpy tonkotsu bowls included – will debut mid-month.
