As of May 2025, Petra by Night has taken a magical leap forward with the launch of a brand-new 3D projection mapping show at the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh). This breathtaking addition blends cutting-edge technology with ancient wonder, transforming the traditional candlelit evening into an unforgettable visual experience.

Visitors are now treated to an immersive spectacle where light, sound and animation bring Petra’s rich history and legends to life. The projections dance across the face of the Treasury, narrating stories of Nabataean culture, ancient trade routes and the mysteries of this UNESCO World Heritage Site – all under the glow of thousands of candles and a starlit desert sky.

To accommodate growing interest, Petra by Night has also expanded its schedule from three to five nights a week, now running from Sunday through Thursday. This gives travelers more flexibility to include this mesmerizing evening in their itinerary.
