 Celebrating Indian Arts

From the graceful movements of traditional dance to the rhythms of live music and the excitement of contemporary theatre, Singapore offers visitors a wonderful opportunity to discover the diversity of Indian arts and culture this November.

Kalaa Utsavam – Indian Festival of Arts returns to Esplanade Theatres on the Bay from 20 to 29 November 2026, marking the festival’s 25th edition. This annual celebration brings together traditional art forms and modern creative expressions, offering something for both first-time visitors and those with a deeper interest in Indian culture.

Festival highlights include captivating dance performances, live music, theatre and contemporary productions inspired by Indian heritage and storytelling. Visitors can experience the beauty of classical dance, enjoy the energy of Bollywood music or discover fresh interpretations of South Asian culture through modern performances.

One of the best things about Kalaa Utsavam is that visitors do not necessarily need to purchase a ticket to enjoy the festival atmosphere. Free programmes featuring music, dance and community performances are also held in Esplanade’s public spaces, making this an appealing option for travellers looking for cultural experiences in Singapore.

Located along the Marina Bay waterfront, Esplanade is also a convenient stop to combine with a walk around the bay and views of Singapore’s iconic skyline.

Discover another side of Singapore through the sights, sounds and stories of Indian arts at Kalaa Utsavam.
