The Seoul Lantern Festival is Seoul’s representative night light festival, which marks its 17th anniversary since 2009, and offers colorful attractions such as light sculpture exhibitions and various hands-on programs. In particular, the 2025 Seoul Lantern Festival will be held around Cheonggyecheon and Uicheon under the theme of “My Light, Our Dream and Seoul’s Magic” from 12th December2025 to 4th January 2026.
Gwanghwamun Market is celebrating its third anniversary this year with a festive Christmas market right in the heart of Seoul at Gwanghwamun Square. Created to boost night tourism and support local small business owners, the market transforms the area into a magical winter village filled with lights, music and holiday cheer. More than 100 local vendors will showcase and sell charming seasonal decorations, handcrafted gifts, festive treats and delicious street food. It’s the perfect place to soak up the Christmas atmosphere, shop for unique gifts and enjoy a cozy evening stroll with friends and family.
