Travel through Thailand with a stop at the infamous River Kwai, featuring a fascinating tour of the bridge’s history. Arriving in Singapore, explore this breathtaking ‘garden city’ that beguiles with its architecture and cosmopolitan bustle. 

Day 1: Bangkok:

Stewards in traditional silk uniforms greet you as you join the Eastern & Oriental Express prior to its departure in the early evening. Dinner is served as the train travels from the city into the countryside with its rice-fields, villages and water buffalo. 

Day 2: Kanchanaburi & River Kwai:

Awake early in order not to miss the excitement of the train making its way from Wang Po along the wooden trestle viaduct beside a towering cliff. On arrival at the River Kwai Bridge station, we disembark for your choice of excursion. Cruise along the Khwae Yai River Tour, Tracks to Unseen Thailand Tour or Local Flavours Tour of Thailand wet market.

Day 3: Kuala Kangsar – Kuala Lumpur.:

Awake to breakfast in bed as the train travels through the picturesque countryside of Malaysia. Brunch is served before arrival into Kuala Kangsar and alight to board a coach. Travel to a rural village set among the rice paddies and surrounded by hills and mountains. Here you have two excursions to choose from, Traditional Village Experience or Hill Trek. 

Day 4: Johor – Singapore:

After breakfast, having crossed the Straits of Johor into Singapore, the journey ends.
